(Singapore, 22 Jan 2025) The ArtScience Museum in Singapore is set to captivate audiences with its groundbreaking new season, “Mind and Body: The Art and Science of Being Human.” Running from January to July 2025, this innovative series explores the intricate connections between mental and physical realms through art and science.

At the forefront of the season are the remarkable new installations by the renowned international art collective, teamLab. These additions, featured in the museum’s permanent exhibition, Future World: Where Art Meets Science, include “Dissipative Figures – Human, Light in Dark” and “1000 Birds, Light in Dark,” which offer visitors a mesmerizing experience blending human figures with enchanting light displays.

Interactive Journey into the Human Mind
“Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind,” opening on March 1st, is a unique installation by Moment Factory that uses state-of-the-art technology and artistic creativity to allow visitors to navigate through eight interactive rooms. Each room offers a different experience focused on aspects of the human mind such as memory, perception, dreams, consciousness, and ego. This immersive exhibition aims to make the invisible mental processes visible and tangible, enhancing the understanding of our inner selves.

Asian Debut of Iris van Herpen Retrospective
The season also marks the Asian premiere of “Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses,” a major retrospective showcasing the groundbreaking work of the Dutch fashion innovator, Iris van Herpen. Opening on March 15th, this exhibition is curated in collaboration with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, and will present over 90 of van Herpen’s designs. The show integrates natural history specimens and contemporary artworks from around the globe, illustrating the designer’s revolutionary approach to fashion that merges traditional craftsmanship with futuristic techniques.
ArtScience Laboratory: A Hub for Learning and Innovation
In addition to these exhibitions, the ArtScience Museum is excited to announce the opening of the ArtScience Laboratory in February 2025. This new learning center, situated at Basement 2 and spanning 320sqm, is dedicated to education at the crossroads of art, science, and technology. The lab will offer a dynamic range of programs aimed at sparking curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Participants of all ages can look forward to engaging in sustainability-focused workshops, digital coding sessions, and art-making activities that incorporate scientific principles.
