(8 August, Singapore) On August 7th, China Unicom Singapore held the “CUniq SG New Product Launch Ceremony”, officially introducing the innovative cross-border communication product CUniq SG in Singapore. The event was attended by various distinguished guests including Mr Kang Yiming, Counselor of Economic & Commercial Office of the Chinese embassy in Singapore, Mr. Ho Chee Hin, CEO of Business China, Mr. Kho Choon Keng, President of SCCCI, Mr. Tan Zhiyong, President of China Enterprises Association (Singapore), Mr. Nikhil Eapen, CEO of StarHub Group, Dr. Meng Shusen, Chairman & CEO of China Unicom Global, together with over 150 representatives from China enterprises in Singapore, Singapore’s business communities, associations and media.

The newly launched CUniq SG is a mobile communication product jointly issued by China Unicom and StarHub, offering users a “one card, two numbers” service. With just one SIM card, users can have both Singapore and China mobile numbers, along with data, voice, and messaging services from both countries. CUniq SG provides a diverse range of product packages, with monthly fees ranging from SGD 10.90 to SGD 39.90, offering up to 300GB of local Singapore data and 60GB of shared data across Singapore, mainland China, and Hong Kong. Additionally, users can access roaming data packages covering multiple ASEAN countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, catering to the needs of business travellers, students, tourists and other user groups. Notably, CUniq SG offers both physical SIM cards and eSIM , which compatible with various types of devices.

During the event, China Unicom (Singapore) signed a Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with five partners including SF Express, Super Tech, Weiot Pte Ltd, SingSec Pte Ltd, and Links Field. China Unicom (Singapore) will leverage mature 5G communication technology to provide leading cross-border communication products and IoT platform solutions to its partners, continuously advancing digital transformation and upgrading.
